Whether through accident or decay, there's no doubt that losing teeth can have an emotional impact. Thankfully, at Wellwood Dentistry and Aesthetics we have skilled clinicians and the latest implant technology needed to replace missing teeth, prevent bone deterioration, and enhance and rejuvenate the aesthetics of your smile. Implants are now relatively easy and the end result will look as natural as your own teeth.

As well as the cosmetic benefits, dental implants will improve chewing efficiency, increase bite support, and importantly, prevent shifting in the remaining teeth. There is also no risk of tooth decay and decreased risk of gum disease. With improved aesthetics, the psychological benefits are also significant, renewing your self-confidence.

Single Implant

If you have a single missing tooth, a single implant is the best solution for you this implant will last you a lifetime if properly cared for. The implant is placed into the Jaw bone and allowed to heal for 12 weeks. Once healed an impression is taken of the area and a custom made cosmetic crown is made to fit onto the implant. This is designed to match their colour, size and shape of your teeth exactly. This dental implant crown should function and feel just like your own tooth.

Multiple Implants

Having more than one missing tooth can lead to a large gap in your mouth. Multiple dental implants can be placed to restore this gap. The number of dental implants required depends on a number of factors affecting your case. We advise a consultation in order to determine this. We offer multiple treatment options such as a combination of single implants and cosmetic crowns or a cosmetic bridge connecting implants together.

Implant Supported Denture

If you struggle wearing your denture due to it causing difficulty in eating and / or speaking dental implants could help fix the problems. Implants can be placed in order to secure your denture into position using 2-4 implants in the lower jaw and 4 implants in the upper jaw. The denture can then be secured into position when needed and removed to clean with ease.

All on 4

All on 4 dental implants allows a whole set of new teeth (known as an arch) to be supported by just 4 implants. Positioned at precise angles the All on 4 implants are able to provide optimum support for the arch and complete stabilization for your new bridge. The All on Four Implants treatment process will be much quicker, more comfortable and less invasive!
